In this modern era, the development of electronic device technology is very fast, including developments in power supplies and power regulators. In electronic devices such as computers and monitors, the power regulator circuit or converter has an important role in supplying electrical power from the device power supply. Power regulator circuits that are commonly used are DC to DC power regulators. Given the importance of the function of a power regulator, therefore, I will provide an explanation of the DC to DC converter schematic.
Converter DC to DC board
On this occasion, I will explain about the DC to DC converter schematic that I have successfully designed, and is able to work quite well. The circuit schematic of this DC to DC converter is quite simple, and can be built with not too many components, and is easy to get.
Basically, the DC to DC converter schematic is based on a switching IC / pwm IC which is very commonly used, namely the uc3843 IC. With the available features, this IC is very capable of being relied upon as the heart of a DC to DC converter. In addition to the pwm IC, there are several other components needed, such as resistors, capacitors, diodes and inductors.
The workings of this DC to DC converter circuit is to utilize the electromagnetic energy generated by the inductor, by disconnecting and connecting the current from the positive power supply / battery through the inductor to ground, with the help of a mosfet. Then it is converted into DC current using a schotky diode and a capacitor. In this way, the output voltage will be greater than the input voltage. Meanwhile, the pwm IC functions as a mosfet driver and regulates the whole system, including the feedback system.
